Tämä on kokoelma yksittäisiä raitoja jotka julkaistiin www.kovaydin.net nettisaitilla vuosina 2005-2007.
Saitista tuli nettilafka 'Kovaydin Vastarinta' vuonna 2009 ja nettilafka tunnetaan nykyään (vuodesta 2013 lähtien) nimeltä 'Kovaydin.NET'. Nettilafkan julkaisut, jotka on nykyään luetteloitu, ovat soolo-, yhteistyö- ja kokoelmajulkaisuja, mutta lafka ei julkaise enää yksittäisiä biisejä. Saitti sai alkunsa vuonna 2005 ja se keskittyi erilaisiin hardcore techno ja breakcore tyyleihin. Tehtävänä oli, ja on edelleenkin, levittää Suomen skenen *core musiikkia maailmalle sekä levittää kulttuuria Suomeen ja muualle.
Tämän kokoelman biisit julkaistiin aikana jolloin saitti oli saanut vaikutteita hollantilaisesta hardcore ja gabber skenestä, mutta mainstream hardcore saundi hylättiin myöhemmin ja kun nettilafka astui kuvioihin niin tyyli keskittyi lopullisesti underground- sekä kokeellisiinkiin *core tyyleihin. Tämä kehitys on nähtävissä jo osassa näistä raidoista. Osa artisteista halusi levittää hitaampaa industrial hardcore saundia Suomessa. Näihin aikoihin tämä tyyli oli popularisoitunut Hollannissa. Suomalaisten artistien lisäksi irlantilaisen X.E.N.O:n ja hollantilaisen Deesterin raidat nähtiin saitilla. Koska useimmat saitilla olleista artisteista olivat 2005-2007 vasta aloittelevia *core muusikkoja ja kehitystä on tapahtunut, suosittelemme tsekkaamaan alla listatut linkit joista löytyy uudempaa musiikkia niiltä artisteilta jotka ovat jatkaneet *core musiikin parissa.
Nyt on aika arkistoida tämä pala Suomen hardcore historiaa.

This is a collection of individual tracks which were released on the www.kovaydin.net website between the years 2005 and 2007.
As of 2009 the website became a netlabel called 'Kovaydin Vastarinta and as of 2013 the netlabel is known as 'Kovaydin.NET'. The netlabel does catalogued solo, collaboration and compilation releases, but does not release individual tracks anymore. The website was founded in 2005 and its focus was in various styles of hardcore techno as well as breakcore. The mission was, and still is, to spread *core music from the Finnish scene to the world and spread the culture in Finland and elsewhere.
The tracks in this collection were released at a time when the site was influenced by the Dutch hardcore and gabber scene, however the mainstream hardcore sound was abandoned later and when the netlabel was formed the focus shifted completely to more underground as well as experimental *core styles. This development can already be seen in some of these tracks. Some of the artists were promoting the slower industrial hardcore sound to Finland. It was being popularised in The Netherlands at the time. Besides Finnish artists, X.E.N.O from Ireland and Deester from The Netherlands also made an appearance on the site. As most of the website's artists were beginning *core musicians in 2005-2007 and as there has been development since then, we recommend you to check out the links listed below for up-to-date sounds from the artists who have continued with *core music.
Now is the time to archive this part of the Finnish hardcore history.
